Dear VHS Music Students,
The 2025-26 VHS Music program is off to an amazing start this year- beginning with the Marching Maroon & White winning their first competition! We’re so proud of all of you and your dedication to keeping the music programs in Verona growing strong.
This year’s music fundraiser is kicking off this week and we have worked to create a fun (and meaningful) campaign and your help will contribute to its success. Here’s what we are proposing…..
Get together with your music friends (regardless of program) and create teams (up to five people) for your fundraising. Teams can be by music section, grade, instrument, voice category, your besties- whatever works best for you. When sending your emails and text to friends and family, include this in your message.
For example: My friends in the drumline (or percussion or low brass etc. ) and I have formed a team to help reach our fundraising goals. We’re working together to keep Verona Music strong for years beyond our time here and your donation will have an impact beyond this school year. Not only that, but if my team wins, we will have an opportunity to celebrate together, continuing to foster the community we have built as part of the Verona Music family.
What’s in it for you: The top 2 teams to a) raise the most money and b) have the highest number of donations will receive a gift card (or equivalent) to use to celebrate. This could mean you all get dinner at Chipotle or Roosters or a place of your choosing OR if you want to gather at someone’s house and have pizza or a bonding activity, we will help support that effort financially.
In addition- you get bragging rights! We will help you draft language for a college application, job application, or LinkedIn to the effect of: Increased fundraising efforts by 200% for a local non-profit supporting music and the arts (or something like that). It may not seem like much now, but it can be a lot and you will have earned it!
Most important: Have fun!!!
