The Verona Music Parents Association (VMPA) is a volunteer organization dedicated to supporting Verona’s music students, educators, and programs.
Through fundraising, volunteer support, special events, and community involvement, VMPA provides resources and assistance that enrich the music experience for students and help Verona’s music programs continue to thrive.
Supporting the Community
VMPA helps Verona’s music students share their talents throughout the community and beyond by supporting:
- Halftime performances at Verona football games
- Participation in local marching band, concert band, and choir competitions
- Verona’s hosting of the NJSMA Marching Band Festival and Concert Band Competitions
- Participation in the Verona Memorial Day Parade
- Concerts and special performances at Verona High School and notable venues including the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Walt Disney World, and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
Supporting Music Education
VMPA directly supports Verona’s music students and programs by:
- Awarding annual music scholarships
- Funding guest music specialists and clinicians
- Organizing student events and the annual year-end music banquet
- Supporting concerts, festivals, and other music events
- Helping fund enriching music field trips and performance opportunities
- Raising funds through car washes, band festivals, 50/50 raffles, and other community events
Together, these efforts help provide Verona’s music students with opportunities and experiences that extend well beyond the classroom.
We Need Your Support
Your support helps VMPA provide resources, equipment, events, and opportunities for Verona’s music students. Donations of any amount help strengthen our music programs and support the students who participate in them.
Fundraising
VMPA fundraising programs provide easy ways for families and supporters to help raise money for Verona’s music programs through purchases they may already be making.
Programs include supermarket gift card sales and RaiseRight, which allows participants to purchase gift cards from participating retailers while generating fundraising revenue for VMPA.

Get Involved
VMPA depends on parent and community volunteers throughout the year. Whether you have a lot of time to give or can only help occasionally, there are many ways to get involved.
Volunteer opportunities include supporting performances and events, fundraising activities, student programs, and the Marching Band Pit Crew.
Marching Band Pit Crew
The Pit Crew is one of VMPA’s most visible volunteer teams. Parent volunteers help move, load, unload, and position marching band equipment for football games, competitions, and performances.
It’s a great way to support the students, meet other parents, and get one of the best views of the show.
